Job Summary
Lead structured fitness and movement-based activities for children aged 5 to 15, incorporating games, exercises, and team activities to promote coordination, strength, and balance. Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere where all participants feel included and motivated while ensuring safety through supervision and awareness of children's abilities. Set up and clean up activity spaces before and after each session. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff as needed. This part-time role involves working in person at Oak Brook Park District from July 6 to July 31, 2026, Monday through Friday from 2:15 PM to 3:15 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a fitness, recreation, or educational setting
- Ability to create fun, engaging, and safe fitness activities for different age groups
- Strong communication, patience, and leadership skills
- Must be able to do the entire program
- Must be available MWF 2:15 PM - 3:15 PM
- Must be available 7/6/2026 - 7/31/2026
- Must be able to work with 8-14 YO
- Must be able to work with 5 to 15 years old
- Must be able to lead structured fitness and movement-based activities
- Must be able to incorporate games, exercises, and team activities
- Must be able to foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere
- Must be able to ensure participant safety
- Must be able to communicate effectively with parents, guardians, staff
- Must be able to set up and clean up activity space
