Job Summary
Provide empathetic telephonic crisis counseling with risk assessment, crisis intervention, safety planning, and resource/referral guidance to individuals in distress. Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and deliver high-quality, solution-focused care across a range of emotional and behavioral needs. Requires active licensure in a behavioral health field and a graduate degree in behavioral health. The role includes six-week paid virtual training, remote scheduling, weekend/holiday availability, and comprehensive benefits. Must operate in a private, distraction-free home office with a hard-wired internet connection and be able to navigate multiple software systems.
Required Qualifications
- Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or equivalent behavioral health licensure
- Master's degree or higher in a behavioral health field (e.g., MSW, MA/MS in behavioral health) from an approved program (COAMFTE, CACREP, or CORE-accredited) or doctoral degree in related field
- Graduates with MSW, PsyD, or PhD in a behavioral health field meeting licensure requirements
- Licensure must be active and in good standing
- Remote-work capability with HIPAA-compliant setup and private office space providing distraction-free environment
- Experience or ability to perform risk assessment, crisis intervention, and safety planning
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and use of electronic health record/software systems
- Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism across varied call types
