Job Summary
Fully Delegated Mortgage Underwriter needed to join Delmar Mortgage Company in St. Louis. Responsibilities include evaluating creditworthiness, issuing final approvals on Conventional/FHA/VA loans, reviewing appraisals and title commitments, ensuring regulatory compliance with Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac/HUD/VA guidelines, collaborating with loan processors and sales teams to move loans to closing, and mitigating risk by identifying inconsistencies or fraudulent documentation. Requires strong calculation of complex income structures, including self-employed and partnerships, and the ability to clearly explain underwriting decisions to non-technical stakeholders. Must have 5+ years of residential mortgage underwriting experience and active DE designation with VA LAPP/SAR authority.

- Active HUD Direct Endorsement (DE) designation
- VA Lender Appraisal Processing Program (LAPP/SAR) authority
