Job Summary
Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety, address policy breaches, and handle security alarms and emergencies in a timely manner. De-escalate crisis situations, exercise crowd control, and evict trespassers while liaising with police, fire, and paramedic resources. Write detailed incident, emergency, and liability reports, utilizing two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities. Manage Lost & Found items and inquiries, maintaining effective relationships with clients and patrons. Requires an Alberta Security License, Class 5 driver's license, and experience walking 18/20km. This 7-on-7-off night shift role reports to the CSM within a diverse team committed to safety and inclusion.
Required Qualifications
- Holding an Alberta Security License, or can obtain a valid Alberta Security License
- Prior Security Guard Experience
- Class 5 Unrestricted Driver's License
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong observational skills
- Ability to make immediate decisions while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision
- Ability to walk 18/20km and stairs
- This site will have a 7 on 7 off schedule
- High School Diploma/GED
