Job Summary
Build and unit/integration testing of Web Apps, APIs, and integrations for the new Zurich Edge Insurance Platform. Design and develop fullstack web applications using Next.js and Nest.js, creating responsive, secure frontend components and server-side functionality including API routes, middleware, and backend-for-frontend patterns. Develop domain-centric APIs and microservices to support platform capabilities, integrating with internal Zurich systems and external partner platforms using synchronous and asynchronous patterns. Implement integrations with AWS services like S3 and SQS, manage PostgreSQL databases, and create API documentation. Perform comprehensive testing and collaborate with product owners, architects, and QA teams while promoting clean code, secure coding, and maintainable architecture.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years programming experience
- Experience with Typescript
- Strong experience building fullstack applications with Next.js
- Experience with NestJS Framework
- Experience integrating with AWS Components eg: S3,SQS, etc.
- Experience with PostgreSql Database
- Strong experience with API development using REST/JSON, Swagger & Postman
- Synchronous Design Pattern
- Asynchronous Design Pattern
- Experience with SOAP, JavaScript programming, design patterns
- Experience with JIRA, Sonarqube
- Experience with AI Tools: Github Copilot, Claude Code
- Knowledge of object-oriented modelling
- Sound understanding of IT project delivery and agile / DevOps methodologies
