Job Summary
Design, implement, deploy, release, and monitor Java Spring Boot and React applications within a DevOps-centric model using Kubernetes, Kafka, and Oracle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, participate in agile planning sessions, and conduct pull request reviews. Work alongside Solution Architects to align software solutions with the overall architecture vision while delivering high-quality code adhering to internal guidelines. Contribute to Software Engineering communities by sharing knowledge and supporting team transformation.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- proven relevant working experience
- very good command of English
- proven delivery experience in Software Engineering using industry standards, such as test-oriented development using TDD and BDD
- understanding of DevOps concepts, including Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD)
- understanding of the importance and value of automated testing
- willingness to learn new ways of working
- ability to support Julius Baer in its transformation
- ability to take pride in work and lead by example
- ability to work in both frontend and backend domains when required
- ability to maintain a focus on either frontend or backend
