Job Summary
Build and maintain scalable enterprise applications and integration solutions by developing robust Java-based APIs and backend services using Spring Boot. Create responsive, user-friendly interfaces with React while leveraging JavaScript, TypeScript, and SQL for relational databases like PostgreSQL. Collaborate within Agile teams to integrate systems, implement unit and integration testing, and optimize performance with Redis and messaging technologies such as Kafka. This Mid-Level Full Stack Java Developer role supports expansive engineering teams across Latin America, Philippines, and the United States in the entertainment, financial, and logistics sectors.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional experience as a Full Stack or Backend Developer
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Professional experience developing modern web applications with React
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and/or TypeScript
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Experience developing enterprise applications or system-to-system integrations
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Exposure to NoSQL databases
- Experience working with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar messaging technologies
- Experience using Redis for caching and performance optimization
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web development
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Experience participating in software development best practices, including: Unit testing
- Experience participating in software development best practices, including: Integration testing
- Experience participating in software development best practices, including: Code reviews
- Experience participating in software development best practices, including: Code validation
- Experience participating in software development best practices, including: Agile development methodologies
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Experience with React state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Context API, etc.)
- Knowledge of frontend testing frameworks such as Jest or React Testing Library
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools
