Job Summary
Provide instruction and guidance to employees while auditing work processes and products to confirm production specifications are met. Maintain positive relationships with staff, direct policy questions to managers, and ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and procedures. Inspect products and shipments for conformance, review and approve samples, and coordinate training for new employees to ensure safety and quality requirements are understood. Compile standard reports, file records, and perform routine clerical tasks. When necessary, attend production meetings, confer with other departments to coordinate activities, and drive a delivery van to transport materials locally. Maintain a clean work area and secure receiving/shipping dock doors.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 or more years of experience in a manufacturing/operations environment
- Able to consistently apply applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives when carrying out the duties of the job
- Must have basic knowledge of technology including computers and software programs such as MS Office, MAC word processing, spreadsheets, or other programs specific to the job in order to complete job duties successfully
- Must have adequate oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively across departments when completing assignments
- Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload and make adjustments to meet business needs
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and rarely lift in excess of 50 pounds
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages
- Must be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers at level of detail required to resolve issues
