Job Summary
Full Year Long Term Substitute School Counselor position for 188 days with 10 extended days. Assigned rates begin Day 1-20 at $150/day, Day 21+ at $175/day, and Day 61+ per Teacher's Salary Schedule. The role requires appropriate teaching certification in the relevant content areas, strong knowledge of child development, instructional proficiency, and effective communication with students and parents. The candidate will collaborate with staff, students, and administration and must be a contributor to the district's equal opportunity and ADA commitments. Location: Mentor, Ohio. Required Qualifications
- Must have appropriate, valid certification or license to teach the content area in both teaching areas as recognized by the State Board of Education
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of learning processes and child development
- Proficiency in teaching and adapting instructional methodologies
- Ability to communicate with students and parents about curriculum relevance
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff, students, and administration
