Job Summary
Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging shoppers, determining their needs, recommending products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card. Maintain expert-level knowledge in all selling areas and lead product knowledge training for other associates. Consistently meet or exceed personal sales goals while managing inventory through Internal Flash Reports. Effectively maintain organized backstock, ensure proper merchandise display and replenishment on the sales floor, and verify accurate pricing through tags and signage. Communicate professionally with associates, the Scheels Campus, and vendors while ensuring work areas meet safety standards. Requires ability to perform basic math, work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-3 months of related experience or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
- Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Must be flexible to work varied hours, evenings, weekends (to include two weekends per month) and holidays
- Average 42 hours per week
- Ability to perform basic math; perform operations using units of currency, measurements, and understand percentages
- Ability to work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Including product knowledge meetings
