Job Summary
Conduct daily tidying, light housekeeping, and general upkeep of the home between weekly housekeeper visits while managing laundry and household organization. Provide afternoon childcare coverage, including school pickup facilitation, afterschool supervision, and driving children to activities and appointments. Prepare simple, wholesome afterschool snacks and weeknight dinners for the children. Travel with the family domestically and internationally, including seasonal time in the Hamptons. Communicate proactively with the existing household team to ensure seamless daily operations. This role requires a minimum of five years of private household experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work Friday-Monday, 8am-7pm with rotational flexibility. Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5+ years working in a private household in a housekeeping, family assistant, or combined housekeeper/nanny role
- Comfortable driving and holds a valid driver's license
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally with the family
- Flexible with schedule and available for rotational or overlapping shifts as the family's needs evolve
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Willing to undergo a detailed background check and provide excellent employment references
Desired Qualifications
- Genuine comfort with and affection for children; experience working with children of varying needs is a plus
- Calm, warm, and collaborative by nature — someone who works well within a team and is content to support rather than lead
- Discreet, communicative, and highly reliable
- Able to prepare simple, family-friendly meals; formal culinary training is not required
