Job Summary
Assist customers by pulling orders, inspecting merchandise, and handling returns; load/unload orders and stock using a forklift; maintain a clean work area and follow safety procedures. Responsibilities include locating and pulling items by type/quantity, supporting drivers, verifying counts, completing reports, and performing cycle counts and inventory control. Must read/write English, follow instructions, and operate hand tools when needed. Required to comply with OSHA PPE standards, dress code, and safety policies; physical duties include lifting up to 100 lbs (frequently 50 lbs), working outdoors in extreme temperatures, and working in high-noise environments. Prior forklift experience and the ability to pass background checks and drug tests are required; forklift training/certification is mandatory. Swift Supply is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Three months of experience operating forklifts or similar equipment
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
- Must successfully pass company-provided forklift operator training program
