Job Summary
Conduct courteous, on-time, and accurate deliveries of products with a variable daily route, operating the van in a professional and safe manner. Accurately locate and pick orders in-store for wholesale customers, build and maintain good customer relationships, and perform daily pre/post trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment. Assist with store operations before or after the route by ensuring accurate and efficient processing of purchases, securing assets, and merchandising products with proper rotation and organization. Requires at least one year of delivery driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Schedule includes Monday through Saturday from 7 AM to 8 PM, with Sunday hours from 9 AM to 6 PM.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year previous delivery driving experience
- One year in customer service or related field
- Unrestricted Standard Operators License
- Clean driving record (no drug or alcohol offenses in the last 5 years)
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Ability to successfully pass pre-employment checks including a drug screen, criminal background check and motor vehicle report (MVR)
- Ability to use a two-wheel cart with a load weighing up to 350 pounds
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Letter of support from management if the candidate works for a Gordon Food Service customer
