Job Summary
Conduct crime and violence prevention, patrol work sites on foot to detect intrusion, and maintain order through crowd control measures. Perform access control procedures by regulating entry and departure of visitors and employees. Write daily activity reports detailing irregularities, equipment damage, or unauthorized persons. Respond to alarms and on-site emergencies by contacting law enforcement or first responders. Assist clients with physical security functions and enforce applicable site codes. Interact professionally with colleagues, supervisors, clients, and visitors. This role is available for immediate hire in the San Diego area with a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30am to 4pm. Required Qualifications
- 1–4 years experience in security, military, or law enforcement
- Valid California Guard Card (BSIS)
- Completion of 40 hours BSIS training and most recent annual refresher
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Access to reliable transportation
- Demonstrated reliability and punctual attendance
- Smartphone with texting, internet access, and email
- Own a black business suit, white dress shirt, black tie, belt, socks, and dress shoes or polished boots
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred to have completed the SB1626 School Security Training Course
