Job Summary
Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using the Wonder of Learning® curriculum to engage toddlers and support their growth. Create and maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment while supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities to uphold health and safety standards. Observe, assess, and document children's learning to inform activities and share insights with families. Maintain open communication with guardians about daily progress and model positive guidance strategies for social-emotional development. Collaborate with Assistant and Resource Teachers to foster a supportive team environment. Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
- 1-2 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
- Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, families and faculty members
