Job Summary
Receive checking and savings deposits, verify cash and endorsements, and issue receipts. Examine checks for negotiability and fraud, determine funds availability, and identify counterfeit currency. Cash checks and withdrawals, process loan payments, and issue cashier's checks while maintaining accurate records. Cross-sell bank products, answer basic customer inquiries, and ensure the teller station is properly supplied. Balance the drawer daily, manage cash drawer levels, and sell or buy money from the vault. Maintain a standing position 90% of the time and lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to remain in a standing position 90 percent of the time
- Must sometimes move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Must constantly operate a telephone, computer, printer, copier and fax machine
- Must be able to communicate with the public
