Job Summary
Oversee daily store operations as Manager on Duty, managing opening and closing procedures, cash security, and urgent customer issues. Train crew members on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience and ensure they deliver fast, friendly checkouts. Direct the receiving, unpacking, and organizing of new stock to optimize sales floor placement. Drive store sales by optimizing merchandising and staff performance while controlling expenses. Handle store maintenance tasks including cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, and managing the stock room. Support onboarding and ongoing training for associates on policies and product knowledge. Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts. Hourly position starting at $17.00.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 1 years of management experience
- Ability to multi-task
- Creative thinking
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require day, evening, weekends and may include overnight shifts and travel (as required)
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to perform all essential job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws
- Ability to frequently operate cash register
- Ability to frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and places/removes merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
- Ability to frequently ascend/descend ladders in order to retrieve and put away stock
- Ability to frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor
- Ability to frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face-to-face in the store, as well as with managers and coworkers
- Ability to frequently move across the sales floor assisting customers, as well as to and from the stock room retrieving and putting away merchandise
- Ability to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time
