Job Summary
Manage merchandising, stocking, and cleaning duties to maintain store standards and maximize sales through planogram adherence. Process customer purchases accurately using the POS system, adhere to cash policies, and follow line policies to open additional check lanes as needed. Collaborate with the team to fulfill curbside pickup orders by retrieving items, verifying contents, and delivering them to customers. Support store management in achieving operational and total loss goals while identifying and rectifying safety hazards. Perform general cleaning tasks, operate equipment including floor scrubbers and cash registers, and lift products up to 45 pounds. Work 30+ hours per week at an average wage of $18.00 per hour, with scheduled increases through Year 5.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior work experience in a retail environment
