Job Summary
Merchandise shelves, process customer purchases, and maintain store standards by stocking product, cashiering, and performing general cleaning tasks. Collaborate with the ALDI team to enhance the customer shopping experience while adhering to all company policies and safety procedures. Complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving items, verifying contents, and ensuring timely delivery. Operate equipment including cash registers, floor scrubbers, and pallet jacks while lifting products up to 45 pounds. Work in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments, to support operational efficiency and loss prevention goals.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior work experience in a retail environment
