Job Summary
Merchandise shelves and stock product while maintaining zone standards and merchandising planograms. Process customer purchases using the POS system, adhere to cash policies, and manage additional check lanes to ensure efficient checkout. Provide prompt customer service, complete curbside pickup orders, and perform general cleaning tasks to company standards. Identify and rectify hazards to support a safe working environment. Operate equipment including cash registers, floor scrubbers, and pallet jacks while lifting products up to 45 pounds. Work varying temperatures in freezer and cooler environments.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- At least 18 years old required
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
