Job Summary
Merchandise shelves and stock product while adhering to planograms, then process customer purchases using the POS system and manage cash lanes. Clean the store to company standards, complete curbside pickup orders, and identify hazards to maintain a safe environment. Collaborate with the team to maximize sales, achieve operational and loss goals, and provide prompt customer service. Requires lifting up to 45 pounds and operating equipment like floor scrubbers and cash registers. Full-time position with 30+ hours per week at $19.00 per hour, with scheduled wage increases through Year 5.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior work experience in a retail environment
