Job Summary
Merchandise, stock shelves, and clean the store to maintain zone standards and merchandising planograms. Process customer purchases using the POS system, adhere to cash policies, and manage additional check lanes to ensure efficient checkout. Complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving items, verifying contents, and delivering to customers. Identify and rectify safety hazards, maintain equipment, and follow inventory procedures. Provide prompt customer service while assisting management with operational and loss goals. Work in varying temperatures including freezers and coolers, lifting up to 45 pounds. Requires ability to operate cash registers, floor scrubbers, and pallet jacks.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior work experience in a retail environment
