Job Summary
Merchandise and stock product while maintaining zone standards and merchandising planograms. Process customer purchases using the point-of-sale system, adhere to cash policies, and manage checkout lanes efficiently. Clean the store, perform general cleaning tasks, and complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving items and ensuring timely delivery. Identify and rectify hazards to maintain a safe working environment and assist management in achieving operational and loss goals. Lift up to 45 pounds and operate equipment including cash registers and floor scrubbers.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior work experience in a retail environment
