Job Summary
Store Associate at ALDI responsible for merchandising and stocking product, cashiering, and maintaining store cleanliness to enhance the customer experience. Key duties include operating the POS system, executing cash handling procedures, supporting merchandising plans and planograms, fulfilling curbside pickup orders, ensuring inventory integrity, maintaining zone and merchandising standards, and collaborating with the team to meet operational efficiency and loss-prevention goals. Required skills include customer service, effective communication, basic arithmetic, ability to work independently or with others, attention to detail, and the physical ability to lift up to 45 pounds and operate store equipment. Education: high school diploma or equivalent preferred; average schedule around 30+ hours per week with starting wage $18.50/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
