Job Summary
Store Associate at ALDI who will merchandise and stock products, cashier, and perform cleaning to maintain a clean, well-organized store. Responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, operating the POS system, adhering to cash policies, opening additional checkout lanes as needed, stocking shelves per merchandising planograms, completing curbside pickup orders, maintaining inventory and safety standards, supporting management to achieve operational efficiency and loss goals, and performing general cleaning and equipment maintenance. Qualifications emphasize prompt, courteous service, ability to operate store equipment, understanding of ALDI policies, effective communication, basic arithmetic, attention to detail, teamwork, and reliable attendance. Education preference is a high school diploma or equivalent; 18+ years old and retail experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
- At least 18 years old required
