Job Summary
Full-Time Store Associate at ALDI responsible for merchandising and stocking product, cashiering, and maintaining store cleanliness. Role emphasizes customer service, use of POS for transactions, adherence to cash policies, executing merchandising plans, processing curbside pickup, maintaining inventory and loss-prevention standards, and supporting store management to achieve operational efficiency and safety. Requires ability to work 30+ hours per week, be 18+, and prefer high school diploma or equivalent; retail experience is a plus. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds, operate store equipment, and communicate effectively while collaborating with the team.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years old or older
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate store equipment including cash registers, floor scrubber, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete tasks to maximize productivity
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
- Ability to stock shelves and merchandise items according to planograms
- Ability to use a POS system to scan and process purchases
- Ability to perform cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Physical ability to push/pull, stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 45 pounds
- Knowledge of curbside pickup processes
