Job Summary
Store Associate at ALDI focusing on merchandising, stocking, and cashier responsibilities to enhance the customer shopping experience. Duties include operating the POS system, processing purchases, maintaining shelves per planograms, handling curbside pickup orders, and supporting store management in efficiency and loss-control goals. Requires excellent customer service, basic arithmetic, ability to follow policies, teamwork, and the physical ability to lift up to 45 pounds, stand, and perform cleaning tasks as needed. Starting wage is $18/hour with scheduled increases over five years. Open to candidates 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent; prior retail experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and with others.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes.
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
- Ability to meet availability requirements.
- At least 18 years old required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred.
