Job Summary
Merchandise shelves, process customer purchases at the POS, and maintain zone standards while adhering to merchandising planograms. Complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving items, verifying contents, and delivering to customers from the staging area. Perform general cleaning tasks, operate equipment like floor scrubbers and cash registers, and ensure a safe working environment by identifying hazards. This role supports store management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals. You will work collaboratively with the ALDI team to enhance the customer shopping experience. The position requires lifting up to 45 pounds and working in varying temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior work experience in a retail environment
