Job Summary
Store Associate at ALDI responsible for merchandising and stocking product, cashiering, and cleaning to keep the store looking its best, while enhancing the customer shopping experience through collaboration with the ALDI team and delivering exceptional customer service. Key duties include operating the POS system, processing purchases accurately, adhering to cash policies, stocking and merchandising according to planograms, completing curbside pickup orders, maintaining zone and merchandising standards, supporting management in achieving operational efficiency and loss goals, ensuring a safe working environment, and performing general cleaning tasks. Required to lift up to 45 pounds, handle equipment like cash registers, floor scrubbers, and pallet jacks, and maintain reliability, prompt attendance, and availability; high school diploma or equivalent preferred; 18+ years old.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail experience preferred
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate cash registers and POS equipment
- Ability to interpret and apply operating policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Availability requirements
- Capable of lifting up to 45 pounds
- Comfort with preventive safety and housekeeping standards
