Job Summary
Conduct merchandising, stocking, cleaning, and cashiering duties to maintain store standards and enhance the customer experience. Utilize the point-of-sale system to scan and process purchases while adhering to cash policies and line procedures. Stock shelves according to planograms, complete curbside pickup orders, and perform general cleaning tasks. Identify and rectify safety hazards, manage inventory procedures, and support store management in achieving operational and loss goals. Operate equipment including cash registers, floor scrubbers, and pallet jacks while lifting up to 45 pounds. Work 30+ hours per week at an average starting wage of $18.00 per hour, with scheduled wage increases through Year 5. Must be at least 18 years old and able to work in varying temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior work experience in a retail environment
