Job Summary
Merchandise shelves and displays, process customer purchases using the POS system, and manage curbside pickup orders by retrieving and verifying items. Maintain zone standards, adhere to cash policies, and complete general cleaning tasks to keep the store looking its best. Collaborate with the team to enhance the customer shopping experience while identifying hazards and ensuring equipment safety. Perform duties requiring lifting up to 45 pounds and operating various store equipment. Work 30+ hours per week at a starting wage of $18.50 per hour, with scheduled increases through Year 5. Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma preferred.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior work experience in a retail environment
