Job Summary
Merchandise shelves and displays according to planograms while stocking product and maintaining zone standards. Process customer purchases accurately using the point-of-sale system, adhere to cash policies, and manage additional check lanes to ensure efficient checkout. Complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving items, verifying contents, and delivering to customers. Perform general cleaning tasks, maintain equipment safety, and identify hazards to support a safe working environment. Assist management in achieving operational and loss reduction goals while complying with all company policies. Requires lifting up to 45 pounds and working in varying temperatures. Starting wage is $18.00 per hour with scheduled increases through Year 5.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior work experience in a retail environment
