Job Summary
Store Associate at ALDI responsible for merchandising and stocking, cashiering, and maintaining store standards, while delivering exceptional customer service. Role involves using the POS system to process purchases, adhering to cash policies, opening additional check lanes as needed, stocking shelves per planograms, completing curbside pickup orders, maintaining inventory and merchandising standards, supporting loss reduction and safety, and collaborating with the team to ensure operational efficiency and a clean, safe store environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
