Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of the assigned shift in Memory Care, managing the medication administration program in accordance with state regulations. Direct Resident Assistants and Med Techs while coordinating services under the Resident Care Director. Observe, document, and report resident condition changes; assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility. Perform and document medical treatments, blood sugar monitoring, insulin administration, and controlled drug counts. Respond promptly to emergency calls and communicate with physicians, families, and other medical professionals regarding illnesses or incidents. Order medications timely and transcribe physician orders adhering to policies. Maintain certification and work Monday through Friday and every other weekend from 3pm to 11pm.
Required Qualifications
- Active NC Med Tech certification
- 3+ years of Med Tech experience in Assisted Living
- Ability to pass a criminal background screening
- Willingness to comply with our drug-free workplace policy
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years old, unless prior approval from Regional Director
- Must have and maintain CPR, First Aid, and State-specific Med Tech certifications, and State Board of Nursing licensure if applicable
- Familiarity with symptoms and behaviors of dementia and Alzheimer's disease
- Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others
- Ability to work well with others and promote a team-oriented environment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior management experience in a similar work environment
- CNA Certification
- Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) certification
