Job Summary
Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols to maintain site safety and prevent unauthorized access while monitoring and controlling access points. Enforce site rules and procedures, respond appropriately to security incidents and emergencies, and de-escalate challenging situations using sound judgment. Provide professional customer service to students, families, staff, and visitors while communicating effectively via two-way radios. Complete accurate incident and daily activity reports and collaborate with site staff. Maintain a visible, professional security presence throughout the community-focused site in Winnipeg. Morning and evening shifts available at $17+/hour. First Aid & CPR Level C certification required; MOAB training offered.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of security guard experience
- At least 19 years of age
- First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a CSA-approved provider
- MOAB Certification — or willingness to complete company-sponsored training prior to onboarding
- High School Diploma or GED
- English fluency, both written and spoken
- Comfortable performing physical duties, including standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to work professionally and respectfully with children, families, and vulnerable members of the public
- Comfortable interacting professionally and respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
