Job Summary
Conduct detailed cleaning of passenger railcar interiors including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing restrooms. Wipe down seats and tables, clean windows and glass surfaces, and empty trash receptacles while maintaining cleaning supply inventory. Report any train car maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor and adhere to established safety procedures. Requires previous commercial or residential cleaning experience, physical fitness to lift 40 pounds, and ability to work independently in Hyannis and Buzzards Bay. Full-time seasonal position through December 23rd with opportunities for career advancement within Cape Cod Central Railroad and Mass Coastal Railroad.
Required Qualifications
- Previous commercial or residential cleaning experience; at least 1 year
- High school diploma / GED
- Ability to understand and clearly speak English
- Physically fit; candidate should have the ability to climb, kneel, crawl, and lift minimum 40 pounds
- Must be able to follow written or spoken directions
- Must be able to work independently and efficiently
- Must be thorough
- Must take pride in one's work
