Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer product questions, and assist shoppers in selecting home improvement solutions across departments like appliances, flooring, or plumbing. Replenish down stock by locating empty shelf areas, process orders and deliveries accurately, and prepare merchandise such as mixing paint or cutting wood. Cross-functionally train in other store areas to maintain service standards while completing duties as assigned. This role requires full-time or part-time status with a starting pay of $15.00-$16.20 per hour and includes access to tuition assistance, a 401(k) match, and a 10% associate discount. Candidates must have six months of computer and retail technology experience, with bilingual skills and trade certifications preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
