Job Summary
Welcome customers to Lowe's, answer questions, and deliver friendly, professional service while helping shoppers find products for their home improvement needs. Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise, load items, and ensure all customer needs are met. Down stock shelves by replenishing supplies and process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time. Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs, such as tinting and mixing paint, cutting and threading pipe, or bundling wood. Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service. Complete other duties as assigned. This role may involve working in both inside and outside weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, and requires lifting up to 75 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
