Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer product questions, and assist with locating and handling merchandise. Replenish down stock by identifying empty shelf areas, process orders and deliveries accurately, and prepare department-specific tasks such as tinting paint, cutting pipes, or bundling wood. Cross-functionally train in other store areas to support overall customer service. This role may involve working in various departments including plumbing, electrical, and hardware, with occasional travel to meetings or neighboring stores. Schedule includes both inside and outside weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
