Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer questions, and assist them with locating and handling merchandise. Replenish down stock by identifying empty shelf areas, process orders and deliveries accurately, and prepare department-specific tasks such as tinting and mixing paint or cutting materials. Train cross-functionally in other store areas to support overall customer service. This Paint department role requires standing, lifting up to 25 lbs unassisted, and working in varying weather conditions. You must have six months of computer and retail technology experience.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
