Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer questions, and deliver friendly, professional service while helping shoppers find and select home improvement products. Locate and handle merchandise, replenish down stock by identifying empty shelf areas, and process orders and deliveries accurately. Prepare department-specific merchandise such as tinting and mixing paint, cutting pipe, bundling wood, or cutting drywall. Listen to customer needs, guide shoppers through the checkout process, and cross-functionally train in other store areas. Occasionally travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores. This Paint department role supports Lowe's mission to empower homeowners with tools and expertise.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
