Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer product questions, and guide shoppers through checkout while ensuring all home improvement needs are met. Replenish merchandise by locating empty shelf areas, process orders and deliveries accurately, and prepare specific department tasks such as tinting paint, cutting wood, or bundling materials. Cross-functionally train in other store areas to support overall service delivery. This role rotates through departments including Inside Garden, Hardware, and Tools, requiring flexibility to adapt to hiring needs.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
