Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer questions, and deliver friendly, professional service while helping shoppers find and select home improvement products. Locate and handle merchandise, replenish down stock by identifying empty shelf areas, and process orders and deliveries accurately. Occasionally load merchandise, prepare department-specific items such as tinting paint or cutting wood, and guide customers through checkout. Cross-functionally train in other store areas to support overall service standards. Perform duties as assigned, including maintaining organized merchandise and ensuring customer needs are met throughout the day.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Must be available for occasional travel to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
