Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer product questions, and deliver professional service while helping shoppers find and select home improvement solutions. Replenish merchandise by locating empty shelf areas, process orders and deliveries accurately, and prepare items such as tinting paint or cutting wood based on customer needs. Cross-functionally train in other store areas to support overall service delivery and complete other duties as assigned. This role may involve working in various departments including Flooring, Appliances, and Hardware, with occasional travel to meetings or neighboring stores.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
