Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer questions, and guide them through shopping or checkout while helping them find the right products for their home improvement needs. Replenish merchandise by locating empty shelf areas, process orders and deliveries accurately, and prepare items such as tinting paint, cutting pipe, or bundling wood based on customer requests. Cross-functionally train in other store areas to support overall service delivery. This role is available in departments including Electrical, Lighting, Hardware, and Tools.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
