Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer product questions, and deliver friendly service while helping shoppers solve home improvement challenges. Locate and handle merchandise, replenish down stock by filling empty shelf areas, and process orders and deliveries accurately. Prepare department-specific merchandise such as tinting paint, cutting wood, or bundling lumber based on customer needs. Cross-functionally train in other store areas and complete other duties as assigned. This role may involve working in extreme weather conditions and lifting up to 75 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
