Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer product questions, and assist shoppers in locating and selecting home improvement items. Replenish down stock by identifying empty shelf areas, process orders and deliveries accurately, and prepare merchandise such as tinting paint or cutting wood and drywall. Cross-functionally train in other store areas to support overall service standards. Perform duties as assigned, including occasional travel for meetings or store support. Work in varying weather conditions with potential exposure to extreme heat, cold, or damp environments.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
