Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer product questions, and guide shoppers through checkout while stocking shelves and replenishing merchandise. Process orders and deliveries accurately, prepare department-specific tasks such as tinting paint or cutting lumber, and cross-functionally train in other store areas. Rotate through departments including Building Materials, Hardware, and Plumbing based on hiring needs. This role supports Lowe's mission to help customers solve home improvement challenges, with duties varying by department and requiring occasional travel for meetings or store support.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
