Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer product questions, and guide shoppers through checkout while stocking shelves and replenishing down stock. Process orders and deliveries accurately, prepare merchandise such as tinting paint or cutting wood, and cross-functionally train in other store areas. Duties vary by department including Building Materials, Plumbing, or Electrical, with occasional travel to meetings or neighboring stores. You will work in varying weather conditions and handle lifts up to 75 pounds. This role supports Lowe's mission to help customers solve home improvement challenges and offers growth through the Track to the Trades program.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
