Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer questions, and deliver friendly service while helping shoppers find and select home improvement products. Assist with locating merchandise, load items, and process orders accurately. Replenish down stock by identifying empty shelf areas and prepare department-specific tasks such as mixing paint, cutting pipe, or bundling wood. Cross-functionally train in other store areas to support overall customer service. Occasionally travel to meetings or neighboring stores as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Must be available for occasional travel to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
